What are your influences?

Influences are few and many, it ranges from electro musicians such as Jean Michel Jarre and Vangelis to more modern day artists such as Felix da Housecat, Neuroticfish, Armageddon Project, and Technoir. To more mainstream electro musicians such as Erasure, and Pet Shop Boys.

How did you start out?

I originally started by messing around with Octamed on the Amiga 1200 when I was 15, my ideas where usually badly put together but gave me the bug, I graduated to Music 2000 on the Playstation a few years later and when I finally got some money together to get some proper equipment and time to teach myself keyboards, the rest as they say....

What equipment do you use?

I'm one of the few software based musicians (partially because the hardware is stupidly expensive, and I feel I have more control with software based systems) The hardware I do use is a Korg MicroKontrol studio controller and an M-Audio Controller MIDI full keyboard all hooked up to a laptop and a Creative Extigy External Sound Card (old Kit but produces superb sound quality)

As regards Software on the laptop, it is a combination of Ableton Live and Propellerheads Reason.

What are your views of music piracy?

Unlike many musicians who are dead against any form of musical piracy and illegal downloading, I am more open to the things that go on around us in this digital age. If my music is available on file sharing sites then there is little I can do about it, it does give me free publicity however. I believe if someones work is worthwhile then its only fair to show your appreciation by buying an album a t-shirt of turning up at a gig.

Who is this Null White character on all your artwork?

Null White the character is an early work of mine that came from years of emotional weirdness, it is a culmination of my own emotions, ego, and id. The character itself is an enigma in itself.
